Chris Catto-Smith has over 36 years experience in a broad range of supply chain and logistics management and consulting roles. He is a former Australian Air Force combat logistics officer with masters degrees in Logistics Management and Systems Engineering. Mr. Catto-Smith has a Graduate Diploma in Business and Aviation Management and is a certified Management Consultant.
He is an entrepreneur and inventor with several patents to his name relating to cool chain and perishables handling technology.

Mr. Catto-Smith has successfully led and managed high visibility supply chain projects and has held senior logistics and technology management positions including South Asian Distribution Manager IBM, Vice President Logistics Royal Ahold (Tops supermarkets) and joint corporate CIO responsible for the supermarket operations in 17 countries. He was Supply Chain Program Manager (Asia) Carrefour, Regional Logistics Manager Coles Myer (Australia). Currently he is Supply Chain Manager/ Fresh Program Manager Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam on an interim management contract.

In 2006 he established Coolcargo value added logistics service at Bangkok Airport, Thailand making successful shipments from the cold chain packinghouse to import clearing agents in Hong Kong. Coolcargo has now been used by 14 exporters and 13 airlines to Europe, Japan, Australia and the USA. Most recently Chris Catto-Smith has been providing the Metro group of supermarkets with an innovative solution for fish handling and processing in Vietnam.
